Careers - Software Support Engineer

Job Description

This position primarily involves working directly with our end user clients. You develop strong working relationships with them in order to address questions about our product and diagnose issues that arise through the usage of our software in both production and theoretical environments.

In addition to providing support via phone, e-mail, web-based chat, and remote access sessions, the Software Support Engineer will be required to install new software systems.

Qualifications:

  • Communicate effectively both in person and on the phone

  • Think with a clear mind and originate clever and useful solutions

  • Quickly and accurately determine the cause of a complex problem

  • Maintain professionalism

  • Proficiency with troubleshooting Windows, particularly 2003 and XP, is preferred

  • Familiarity with databases; experience with SQL is especially desirable

  • The ideal candidate for this position should demonstrate experience in Windows-based server programming, C++, SQL, MS SQL, Oracle, stored procedures, schema design, full-text search.

  • Knowledge of VB Scripting

  • Intelligence, motivation, and a team player attitude
